Please read this carefully. The use of this website automatically attributes the condition of the user and implies the acceptance, full and unreserved, of all the provisions included in the Terms and Conditions and Privacy and Cookies Statement.

If you do not fully accept any of the conditions set out, you must not access or use our website.

 

General

This website is operated by Cookie Club Porto (“we”, “us” or “our”). All purchases made on this website are governed by these terms and conditions.

We sell goods to end-user consumers only. All goods are sold subject to the condition that they will not be re-sold without our prior written consent.

The user is responsible for the content of the information sent or transmitted to this website.

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions without prior warning. The user is bound by the version of the Terms and Conditions at the time of use, so we recommend that you consult them periodically in case of changes.

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may appeal to the consumer information and arbitration centre of Porto - +351 225 508 349 / www.cicap.pt - under Article 18 of Law No. 144/2015 of 8 September.

 

Online Ordering

Once payment has been received, we will confirm the acceptance of your order via email. Our acceptance brings into existence a legally binding contract to supply the goods in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Please fill out the order form fully and accurately. We cannot be held responsible for any problems that arise from incorrect information being supplied to us during your order. Costs related to re-delivery or forwarding to another address are the sole responsibility of the customer.

The right of withdrawal of 8 days does not apply to contracts for the supply of perishable foods.

If for any reason, we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you via email.

Amendments or cancellations cannot be made once the order has been dispatched.

 

Order Cancellation

The customer may only cancel their order if it has not yet been paid and is not yet being processed. In this case, you may do so by sending us an email with your request.

Warning: The cancellation of an order is only possible through the process mentioned above.

 

Shipping/Delivery

We always aim to get your order to you as soon as possible, however, please be aware that due to COVD-19, delivery times can sometimes be affected.

Orders are dispatched within 24 hours from the time of order.

Next-day delivery is only guaranteed for orders placed before 16:00 the previous day, Tuesday to Friday, within mainland Portugal and does NOT include weekends. 

Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an email from us which includes a tracking number/link.

Deliveries can arrive any time between 9am and 7pm, it all depends on the courier's route.

It is the customer’s sole responsibility to be present for delivery. Please keep track of your order using the tracking link provided. 

The customer can choose to receive the order at an address of their preference (except for P.O. boxes). We recommend providing an address where you will be present between 09:00 and 19:00 on the day of delivery. An attempt will be made by a courier of the chosen transport service at the address indicated.

If the customer is absent at the time of delivery, as a rule, couriers (this is only guaranteed with MRW Couriers) will call the customer to arrange an alternative solution, such as a new time, drop it off at a neighbor, or even drop it off at an establishment close to the delivery address.

In case the courier contacts and does not get an answer, they are obliged to take a photo at the door and at the door number to prove that they were there.

When MRW Head Office receives the information that the shipment was not delivered, they call the recipient directly to schedule the 2nd delivery attempt

It is not possible to choose a specific delivery time as it will depend on the courier's route on the day of delivery, which is defined by the transport service.

If an incorrect or incomplete delivery address is provided by the customer and it results in the return of the order to Cookie Club Porto this can lead to additional costs for the customer. Therefore, we recommended that the customer always makes sure that the delivery address, indicated when registering the order, is correct and complete. Once the order is registered, it is not possible to change the delivery address or the billing data indicated.

Shipping / Delivery Costs

Our delivery fees accurately reflect the actual cost of carriage incurred by us.

The shipping costs are automatically calculated by the system at checkout and may depend on the following factors

  • value of the order;

  • the segment of products ordered;

  • delivery address;

  • carrier tariffs, which are periodically updated.

 

Payment & Pricing

Orders must be paid for in full before they can be dispatched.

The customer can pay for their order by credit card using the Stripe application available at the checkout process on our website.

Prices displayed on our website are in Euros and include VAT (13-23%). Prices are subject to change.

If your payment requires a currency conversion, the amount debited will be based on the exchange rate on the day of the debit and any charges from the card-issuing bank. 

The price of the goods does not include the cost of delivery. The delivery charge is calculated automatically and is shown to you as you input your address before finalising your order. 

 

Refunds/Returns

Given the perishable nature of our cookies, we are not able to accept returns.

If either Cookie Club Porto or the delivery carrier in question are deemed responsible for the non-delivery of an order, the customer will be fully reimbursed for the amount they paid for postage. A Cookie Club Porto representative will contact the customer to confirm the right to reimbursement of postage and to provide any further clarification on this subject.
